CONSCIOUS REPROGRAMMING

Ever since my hip surgery last year, I’ve struggled to find lasting balance and activation of my left side. Despite the use of multiple different healing modalities, I seem to continue to get stuck and revert back to imbalance, frustrated with the lack of progression.

Come to realize by focusing on that pain, it has only grown. A new approach has come to light, which paradoxically requires focusing on the opposite or elsewhere. As humans, we think we can fix things if we focus on the problem. I’ve been experiencing quite the opposite.

Focus on what FEEEELS good in the body. Focus the mind on what’s working. Focus on other parts of the body that are harmoniously working.

For example, focusing on the heart and the ease with which it circulates blood and oxygen to the body continually rather than on tightness arising in the hip while running.

Re-mold the brain to focus on pleasure and cohesion rather than pain and dysfunction. If the mind focuses on the dysfunction, more dysfunction arises because that pathway is now calcified and set in stone, trained to notice pain and focus on the pain.

Consciously reprogramming, rewiring the brain, step by step, movement by movement. Each moment and each movement is pivotal. Each action contributes to the whole and current state of either harmony or discord.

Show the body it’s capable of harmony by focusing on harmony. The body takes cues from what the mind focuses on.

Reframe each moment to the ideal. Hold that in the mind.

Once pain arises, stop. Pause. Listen and use that moment to begin again and reframe.

If pain arises on the left, focus on the right. Let the opposing side show the malfunctioning side how to work. Let the working side be an example. By doing this, you open a pathway to neural cross-connection and possibility. The left side cannot function in isolation. It needs the right.

Cross-communication, it’s a two-way street. It’s a conversation.

Balance is not brought forth by focusing on what’s broken. It rises from generating and creating more of what works and fostering that.

Find balance through conscious reprogramming.
