THE PULSE
The earth has a measurable electromagnetic pulse that our bodies recognize and crave to be aligned with. We spend most our day indoors, separate from that pulse and as a result, our bodies forget what that organized pulse feels like and things tend to go awry. Stress, anxiety, depression, autoimmune diseases, just to name a few.
Our body needs to know and understand what planet it’s on, quite literally and the way it does that is by recognizing the pulse and or frequency of surroundings.
This is one reason why I keep a close and intimate relationship with the trail. Whether that be trail running, hiking or simply meandering in the mountains.
Trail running offers me the gift of being in the present moment with the breath.
The gift of awareness of the breath.
To thrive on the trail is to recognize the infinite amount of energy that has always been available to you.
It’s a continual battle but a fun game.
…let me define the word trail. A path without concrete or asphalt. One with dirt, plants, organic matter. This is important as to not cover up or neutralize the organic pulse.
